“GOD’S COVENANT TO ALL GENERATIONS”

“For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the Lord, who has mercy on you.” Isa.54:10

1- DISASTERS AND CALAMITIES … are these parts of GOD’S PLAN?

>God sends disaster as punishment for human sins.

In the time of Noah, God sent flood to wash out the earth of its wickedness. People are disobedient and mockers. People are lovers of themselves. Rom.3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”

-We all fall short of GOD’S GLORIOUS STANDARD!

2- HOW WAS NOAH’S FAMILY GOT SAVED?

>God saves Noah’s family by giving Noah a divine warningof the impending disaster and made a covenant with him, a RIGTHEOUS MAN he was – he found favour in the eyes of the Lord.

- Gen.6:8 “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.”

3- THERE ARE TWO FACES GOD’S CHARACTER: HIS LOVE & HIS JUSTICE

>1 Peter 1:16 “Be holy, for I am holy.”

- GOD is HOLY. He cannot tolerate sin. He is our GOD OF JUSTICE. He sends warning to His children so they will repent and turn from their wicked ways. 2 Chron. 7:14“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

- GOD is gracious to all His children, He is faithful to all HIS PROMISES and He wants righteousness. He wants us to repent from our sinful ways by humbling ourselves.

>1 Chronicles 29:11-12“Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power and the glory,The victory and the majesty;For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours;Yours is the kingdom, O Lord,And You are exalted as head over all.12 Both riches and honour come from You,And You reign over all.In Your hand is power and might;In Your hand, it is to make great and to give strength to all.”

- GOD IS SOVEREIGN.As a Sovereign God - He has the authority and means to blot out anyone and anything that is contrary to His nature.

>Gen.6:8 “Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.”

- GOD IS GRACIOUS.Noah found grace from the Lord because of his righteous ways. In spite of the horrible condition of the world of his day, He was looking for God’s direction and for the answer to his heart’s cry.

>Deuteronomy 7:9“Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;”

- GOD IS FAITHFUL and His faithfulness will remain forever to all generations - who love and obey

Him as our King, our Master and loving Saviour.

PERSONAL RESPONSE:

1-Why do we need to seek God?

2-What is repentance for, will it help to save me from all these present world hardships?

3-Where is humility in God’s standard?

4-If we need to be reconciled to God, how do we do it?

> Ang Diyos ay nagpapadala ng mgakahirapanbilangparusaat dulot ngmgakasalanan ng tao.

Sa panahon ni Noe, nagpadalaangDiyos ng bahaupangmatanggalang mundo sakasamaan nito. Ang mgatao ay masuwayin at manunuya. Ang mgatao ay mahiligsakanilangsarili.

-Rom.3: 23 "Sapagkat ang lahat ay nagkasala, at hindinakaaabotsakaluwalhatian ng Diyos.”

- Lahat tayoayhindinakaaabotsakaluwalhatian ng Diyos!

2- PAANO NALIGTAS ANG PAMILYA NI NOAH?

>Iniligtas ng Diyosangpamilya ni Noe sapamamagitan ng pagbibigaykay Noe ng banal nababalatungkolsanalalapitnasakuna at gumawa ng tipansakanya, bilangisang TAONG MATUWID siya ay pinagpala at nakasumpong ng biyayasapaningin ng Panginoon.

- Gen.6: 8 "Ngunitsi Noe ay nakasumpong ng biyayasapaninginng Panginoon."

3- MAY DALAWANG MUKHA NG KATANGIAN NG DIYOS: ANG KANYANG PAG-IBIG AT ANG KANYANG HUSTISYA :

> 1 Pedro 1:16 "Maging banal kayo, sapagkatAko ay banal."

- ANG DIYOS ay BANAL.Hindi niyamatitiis ang kasalanan. Siya ang ating DIYOS NG HUSTISYA. NagpadalaSiya ng babalasaKanyangmgaanakupangmagsisisila at tumalikodsakanilangmasasamang pamumuhay.

- 2 Cronica 7:14 "Kung ang Aking bayan natinawagsaakingpangalan ay magpakumbaba, at manalangin at hanapin ang akingmukha, at tumalikodsakanilangmasamangparaan, sagayon ay pakikinggankomulasalangit, at patatawarin ang kanilangkasalanan, at pagagalinginko ang kanilanglupain."

- Ang DIOS ay mapagbigaysalahat ng Kanyangmgaanak, Siya ay tapatsalahat ng KANYANG mga PANGAKO at naisNiya ng katuwiran. NaisNiyatayongmagsisimulasaatingmakasalanangpamumuhaysapamamagitan ng pagpapakumbabasaatingsarili.

- ANG DIYOS AY MAKAPANGYARIHAN.BilangisangSoberanongDiyos - Siya ay may awtoridad at paraanupangpawiin ang sinuman at anumangbagaynataliwassaKaniyangkalikasan.

> Gen.6: 8 "Si Noe ay nakasumpong ng biyayasamga mata ng Panginoon."

- ANG DIYOS AY PUSPOS NG BIYAYA.Natagpuan ni Noe angbiyaya mula saPanginoondahilsakanyangmatuwidnapamumuhay. Sa kabila ng kakila-kilabotnakalagayan ng mundo sakanyangpanahon, hinanapNiyaangdireksyon ng Diyosat tinugon ng Diyosangpanalanginna nasa kanyang puso.

> Deuteronomio 7: 9"IsipinninyonaangPanginoonnainyong Dios ay iisang Dios. Matapatsiya at tinutupadniyaangkanyangkasunduanhanggangsamgasalinlahi ng mganagmamahalsakanya at sumusunodsakanyangmgautos."

1-Bakit kailangannatinghanapin ang kalooban ng Diyos?

2-Ang pagsisisiba ay kaparaananupangtayo ay maligtassakahirapansamundongito?

3-Anokababaang-loob o pagpapakumbabasapamantayan ng Diyos?

4-Kung kailangannatingmakipagkasundosaDiyos, paanonatinitomagagawa?
